Róisín brings together the artists Sophie Drury, Scarlett Miller and Shavaun Wenzlick in their individual exploration of Celtic diaspora and finding belonging. Each artist has approached the theme in their own way while leaning on aspects of storytelling and culture that is explored conceptually in their artwork. For the body of work that Sophie is presenting they have used two texts for research. Which is the song, The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond which is a Scottish folk song in which the lyrics have been interpreted as a lament of the march in association with the Jacobite rebellion. They also worked with the Arthurian myth, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight reflecting on the iterations and visual imagery that has been adapted to portray this myth in painted form.
